Harts of Teal is an initiative to educate women on the signs and symptoms of Ovarian Cancer. Early detection and education on this cancer will save women’s lives.

Early Detection is KEY

93%

of women diagnosed in early stages survive 5 years.

of women diagnosed in
early stages survive 5 years.

Yet, less than 20% of women are diagnosed in early stages.

Ovarian Cancer is the #1 deadly cancer of the reproductive center. This terrible disease is currently the 5th leading cause of cancer related deaths in women. Roughly 22,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer this year. The risk of developing Ovarian Cancer each year is 1 in 78.

Unfortunately 80% of cases are diagnosed at late stage 3 and 4. There is currently not a diagnostic test to detect Ovarian Cancer in its early stages, yet women can monitor their own bodies for tell tale changes. Our goal is to educate as many women as possible in our community of the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer and empower you to be an advocate for your own health.

Ovarian Cancer Awareness

Stand Up To Ovarian Cancer

Teal for Teachers is a community-driven outreach program created by Harts of Teal, Inc. to bring life-saving ovarian and gynecologic cancer awareness directly into classrooms across Georgia and beyond.

Teachers are often the first trusted adults outside the home—and by equipping them with knowledge and resources, we extend awareness to students, families, and entire communities.

Through this program, we distribute Teal for Teachers totes filled with educational materials, awareness items, and resources designed to spark conversations, encourage early symptom recognition, and empower teachers to advocate for women’s health.

To date, 20,000 Teal for Teachers totes have been distributed to educators—reaching tens of thousands of students and families with critical information that can lead to earlier detection and saved lives.

One of our most powerful outcomes occurred when a local teacher, after receiving Teal for Teachers materials, recognized symptoms, pushed for further testing, and was ultimately diagnosed with ovarian cancer—a life potentially saved through awareness.

Teal for Teachers is made possible through community partnerships, grants, and donor support, allowing us to continue expanding this program into more schools and districts each year.

Because awareness saves lives—and education is where it begins.

Thank you Cooper Lighting for your service to get our teacher totes packed out and ready to deliver.

"Do not let your hearts be
troubled. Trust in God."
