Harts of Teal, a faith-based non-profit started by two ovarian cancer survivors.

Deborah Kay Brook (Debbie) ~ an ovarian cancer fighter, a sister, a friend, an aunt, a daughter, and a veteran’s wife! She was so full of life and had a determination about her that I completely admired. When she saw something that she wanted or needed to learn how to do ~ Nothing stopped her! Looking back on her life, I am still so inspired by her. The older I get I see so much of these qualities in me and that brings great comfort to my heart!

She loved her family, researching genealogy, animals, planting flowers and gardening, yard saling, and going to country music concerts.

She was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer in November 2008. She fought so hard and even when she was so sick she showed such strength and beautiful grace in her fight. She passed away on May 23, 2012 at home surrounded by her family. I miss her so much but I know she is watching over me ~ I can feel her! I love you to the moon and back Momma!
