I was diagnosed with Vulvar Cancer in 2017 after seeing many Doctors, they all said it was Lichen Sclerosis. I had a vulvectomy to remove the lesion.in 2018. I found another spot in a different area; they were able to do Ablation on this spot. 2022 Radical vulvectomy and 2024 another partial vulvectomy. I went in for a Pet scan Jan. 2022 to check on Vulvar Cancer and found out that I had developed Ovarian Cancer HGSC Stage 3c. I was not having any symptoms, if I had not had the Pet scan for the Vulvar Cancer it would have been diagnosed. I had surgery in February 2022 to remove the tumor, omentum, ovaries, and Fallopian tubes. I started frontline chemo in March 2022, my last treatment was in June 2022, and I was declared NED. August 2023 scan showed first recurrence, I had 4 cycles of Cisplatin and Gemzar, but had to stop because of side effects. Thankfully, I was stable at that time. I was on a maintenance drug and then took a break from August to November. Scan in January 2025 showed progression of disease, so I started Carboplatin (desensitized). I had my second treatment on Feb. 12, the side effects have been awful. I’m scheduled to have 4 more treatments as long as I can tolerate them. I’ve had reactions to many chemo treatments, Carbo being the worst.
